Many of you have asked me about books you can read to improve your communication skills. There are a number that I can recommend (just message me). Today, however, I would like to share my own book called, Speak: A Simple Guide to Public Speaking.
The process of writing the book was daunting. I persisted because public speaking is a skill that I am passionate about. I have been helping people for the past few years and would like to offer this book to help you also.
These are tools I have used to communicate at work, in my 1:1 interactions, and even the White House (potential story for another time). I am confident that they will work for you also.
You will learn simple strategies that you can, literally, keep in your back pocket; it is important to note that you do not have to master—or even use—all of them. With only a few you will be seen as more confident, and received as a figure of authority (it would warm my heart if you use as many as possible though). :)
I am excited to hear your thoughts, and progress, after reading this book. Please feel free to drop me a note through my site or via email at [email protected].
Happy New Year,
Steve
